Automotive design engineer John Lentini established his eponymous brand in 2016 after 14 years making wines for family and friends in his suburban Melbourne garage. Regular visits to the Barossa on the back of business trips to Adelaide introduced him to the winemakers and growers of the region, enabling him to realise his vision to ‘make single-vineyard wines that naturally convey the characteristics of the site and vintage’.
His mandate is pure expressions of shiraz from the cooler sites of the Barossa, in particular the Eden Valley. The range currently comprises just one wine, with the hope of expanding to showcase the diversity of site expressions across the Barossa.
